The Differently Wired
A faceless editorial brand that publishes evidence-based content on focus and productivity for ADHD and neurodivergent audiences.
Not medical advice. The information on this site is for educational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your treatment or routine.
Information that actually works for your brain
Most productivity content is written by and for neurotypical brains. The advice sounds reasonable — break tasks into chunks, use a timer, make a to-do list — but for many people with ADHD, autism, or other neurodivergent profiles, that advice doesn't just fail, it backfires.
This site exists to change that. Every piece of content is built on peer-reviewed research, real-world testing, and direct feedback from the neurodivergent community. When something works, we document why. When something is overstated or oversimplified, we say so.
No founder. No personal brand.
This is a content brand, not a personal blog. There are no "meet the founder" pages, no candid selfies, no "my ADHD journey" testimonials. That structure is a deliberate editorial choice — it allows us to present information without the bias that comes from conflating personal experience with scientific evidence.
We are not a medical organization. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide personalized health advice. When we write about supplements, medications, or therapeutic approaches, we present the research as clearly as possible and strongly encourage consultation with a qualified healthcare provider.
What we mean by "evidence-based"
Every article on this site draws on peer-reviewed research — randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, and longitudinal studies where available. We cite our sources. When the evidence is mixed or limited, we say so. When we are extrapolating from research (applying findings from a study population to general advice), we flag it.
We do not publish content based on personal anecdotes alone. Personal experience informs our framing and topic selection, but the actual recommendations come from research.
We do not accept sponsored content. We do not allow brands to influence our editorial coverage. Our affiliate links are placed according to merit and relevance — not payment. When we link to a product or service, it is because we believe it is useful, not because someone paid us to say so.
We update articles when the research landscape changes significantly. If a study we cited gets replicated with contradictory findings, or if a major meta-analysis shifts the consensus, the article gets updated and the change is noted.
